A Writer's Lot is not a Happy One
There's a saying. It goes, "No one mourns a critic."
However, writers take criticism very personally. Personally, if I read a bad review I find it hard to find my mojo and get writing again, so I tend not to read reviews in the morning.
I love that cartoon, proof that a writer needs to choose their spouse with some care.
