Wilde Abandon
"Books are never finished, they are merely abandoned."
That's a great quote!
ReplyDeleteI'm able to abandon a novel in just a few sentences.
ReplyDelete:-D
ReplyDeleteIt is a great quote, but I don't think it's one of Oscar's!
ReplyDeleteOh, that's interesting. Every source I can find says it's his.
ReplyDeleteIf it's not, any idea who did say it?
That's the trouble with the internet, isn't it? I've seen the quote attributed to Leonardo da Vinci, even, but in fact I believe it originated with Paul Valéry, and was rendered in the pithy form we know today by George Lucas. Sorry, I know Oscar would be more respectable :)
ReplyDeleteBut not necessarily more right. ;-)
