Cover reveal! A krampusz éjszakája

I am pleased to say that there are various translations of my ACE Gamebooks in the works, including a Polish edition of Alice's Nightmare in Wonderland from Muduko.

But the cover I want to reveal to you today is the one for the Hungarian translation of 'TWAS - The Krampus Night Before Christmas, which is to be published by Chameleon Comix later this year.

A krampusz éjszakája translates as 'Night of the Krampus'*, while the tagline at the top reads 'Brand new gamebook from the author of Demon Knights!'

In the UK, 'Demon Knights' was published as Knights of Doom.

Here's a mock-up of the hardback edition of the new translation...

And here it is as a paperback...

Those of you who know the adventure already, or who have played the 'TWAS RPG, will recognise the cover art by my long-time collaborator Tony Hough.

* Continuing the theme started by other gamebooks of mine including Night of the Necromancer and Night of the Kraken.

Steampunk Thursday: NewCon Press Sale!

NewCon Press are having a sale, which means you can get hold of a signed hardback copy of the Steampunk International anthology, for less than the price of the paperback!

My own contribtuion to Steampunk International was a new Ulysses Quicksilver short story, entitled Reckless Engineering, which remains the last Pax Britannia story published to date.

Following a break-in at the top secret Whitehall facility known as 'Think Tank', agent of the crown Ulysses Quicksilver and his trusty manservant Nimrod set off in pursuit of the perpetrator. It is a chase that will take them from the railway sheds of London to the dockyards of Bristol, and an encounter with a long-dead engineering genius.

So, if you want to get your hands on some steampunk goodness, you know what to do - simply click this link.

RONIN 47 and RPGaDay 2021

RONIN 47 - the mech-vs-kaiju seventh ACE Gamebook - has funded on Kickstarter but could do with some love to kick things up a gear, so that we can start hitting those awesome art Stretch Goals we have planned.

If you've been wondering about backing the project, wonder no more, since you can read up on the rules for mech combat in the game right here.

I've actually been thinking about offering including a set of Quick Combat Rules for mech combat in RONIN 47. If this is something you would like to see, let me know.

As it's August, it's also time for 31 days of #RPGaDay2021. I was a little late to the party this year but am now posting daily notifications (for the time being at least) related to the theme of the day, but also ACE Gamebooks and ACE Gamebooks Roleplay, of course. Just follow me on Twitter @jonathangreen, or join the ACE Gamebooks Facebook group to make sure you catch them all.
