Stormslayer is here!

Thanks to my local independent bookshop The Owl and the Pussycat I now have a copy of Stormslayer.

Wizard Books kindly sent out author copies ten days ago but thanks to postal strikes and the bank holiday they haven't turned up yet. I could have travelled into Wizard's offices and collected them myself quicker. And now that Martin McKenna's got his contributor copies of The Warlock of Firetop Mountain (for which he produced the new cover) I'm starting to suspect that the staff at the local sorting office are too busy playing Stormslayer to actually deliver any post!

Anyway, at least I have a copy now - after a fair number of you, by the sounds of things. So the final score is, Local Bookshop - one, Royal Mail - nil!

Hello Mr Greeen!

My name is Federico, and I'm one of the members of the Italian site Librogame's Land, which is one of the most important sites for gamebook fans in Italy.
Just like many others here, I really enjoyed Howl of the Werewolf (which is in my opinion one of the best gamebooks ever) and I'm waiting for my copy of Stormslayer... I hope it arrives soon! :)

I contact you not only to give you my appreciation to your work (I really liked every of your gamebooks) but also to ask you an important question. The Italian gamebook fans community would be really pleased if you'd be so kind to grant us a brief interview for our online magazine, "LGL magazine": just a few questions to let all Italian fans your work, to discuss with your abut the important Fighting Fantasy relaunch and the publication of Stormslayer, and to ask you some of our curiosities about your gamebooks. Unfortunately none of your gamebooks has been translated and published in Italy, and only a part of us has been able to get and read your books in the original edition, so we think this could be an interesting way to let all Italian fans fully know you.

If you are interested in this simple project, send me an e-mail to my account:

Thank you very much for your attention. And again, compliments for your excellent work!

Best regards,

Federico.
