As you may have guessed from the lack of regular posting on this blog of late, I've been rather busy finishing off YOU ARE THE HERO Part 2, the companion volume to 2014's award-winning YOU ARE THE HERO - A History of Fighting Fantasy Gamebooks.
But on Wednesday of this week, less than four weeks after the Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign concluded, YOU ARE THE HERO Part 2 went to print, and hopefully the book will arrive in time for Fighting Fantasy Fest 2.
Just so you know, what was proposed as a 30,000 word-long book has ended up being over 65,000 words long and features almost as many images as Part 1! (Almost 400!)
What's even better is that the spines of the two volumes line up very nicely with each other, as this GIF demonstrates.
Here's a brief taster of what will be coming your way soon...
"The modern master of the gamebook format" (Rob Sanders)... "Can do dark very well" (Jonathan Oliver)... "Green gets mileage out of his monsters" (SFX Magazine)... "It takes a firm editorial hand and a keen understanding of the tone of each piece to make a collection this diverse work, and Green makes it look effortless" (Starburst Magazine)... "A charming blend of camp creatures, humour, and genuine horror" (Set the Tape)
