He may over 2,000 years old, but today actually marks the 52nd anniversary of Doctor Who appearing for the first time on terrestrial television sets, on 23 November 1963.It also means it's already two years since the 50th anniversary episode The Day of the Doctor aired, in what was the world's biggest simulcast at the time.
It seems that this month is all about anniversaries. On Thursday it will be the 150th anniversary of the mass market publication of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and hopefully, by then, Alice's Nightmare in Wonderland will be poised to be unleashed upon the world.
