Or thereabouts.
Yes, it was twenty years ago this month that Spellbreaker, my first ever Fighting Fantasy gamebook, was released upon an unsuspecting world.
And what am I doing today? Writing the definitive history of Fighting Fantasy gamebooks. Who'd've thought it?
If you fancy a trip down memory lane, you can still pick up a copy (of the Wizard Books edition) here. As as today is the Longest Day, you'll have plenty of time to read it too. ;-)
"The modern master of the gamebook format" (Rob Sanders)... "Can do dark very well" (Jonathan Oliver)... "Green gets mileage out of his monsters" (SFX Magazine)... "It takes a firm editorial hand and a keen understanding of the tone of each piece to make a collection this diverse work, and Green makes it look effortless" (Starburst Magazine)... "A charming blend of camp creatures, humour, and genuine horror" (Set the Tape)

But a question remains : do you intent to write your 8 th ff books in a high security prison next year or did you give up this project ?
