Today is the 200th birthday of the master of nonsense poetry himself, Edward Lear. To mark the occasion, here's one of my own nonsense poems*.

A Thousand Hairy Cannibals

A thousand hairy cannibals

Went running through the zoo.

They gobbled up the animals

Then ate each other too.
