Gamebook Friday: Forthcoming Livestreams

For those who might be interested, I will be taking part in a couple of livestreams over the next few days.

On Sunday 15th June at 7:00pm, I will be joining Jordan Sorcery for a live playthrough of The Tides of Innsmouth. You can join the chat here to help decide what our Investigator does as they visit the sleepy seaside town of Innsmouth.

And then on Wednesday 18th June at 7:00pm, I will be chatting to Mathiew and Mark on the French YouTube channel Rôliste TV about my work in the gamebook genre. We will be discussing the history of Fighting Fantasy, adapting classics like Dracula, and my recent forays into the world of Arkham Horror.

Secrets of Salamonis on Mythical Tales From Edra

It's the sixth part of Ken Boyter's live readthrough of Dracula - Curse of the Vampire tonight. Yes, I know Part 6 was two weeks ago, but that was really Part 5, because the Part 5 show was cancelled due to technical difficulties, so tonight's performance is definitely Part 6.

In other vampire-related news, on Easter Sunday, Family Green visited the Small is Beautiful art exhibition on the Old Brompton Road before walking through London to Leicaster Square for a spot of lunch.

On the way, we passed 138 Piccadilly, which - according to the Dracula Society, among others - is the house where Bram Stoker imagined the Count and the Crew of Light had a face off, as indeed they do in Dracula: Curse of the Vampire.

Today marks what would have been Lewis Carroll's 190th birthday. Of course, it was his work that inspired Alice's Nightmare in Wonderland, which is still my most popular ACE Gamebook. Ken left us on a cliffhanger last time, at the start of the climactic battle at the end of 'TWAS - The Krampus Night Before Christmas.
