Warhammer Wednesday: Mission GW - The Plaza and Covent Garden (again)

So, last Friday I was in town for this. I arrived in London a little early and so had time to pop in to both the Plaza and the Covent Garden Games Workshop stores.

The Plaza store had a fantastic Helbrute on display...

...while the Covent Garden store had an inspiring Vampire Counts display.

Warhammer Week: Blog of Oblivion

Yesterday - just in case you missed the news plastering my website and Facebook page, as well as those of my publishers, the Black Library - my first ever Warhammer 40,000 gamebook HERALD OF OBLIVION was released upon an unsuspecting universe.

As part of the general bigging-it-up-ness of the whole day, I wrote a guest post for the BL site which went live around lunchtime. So, if you want to know more about how I find the whole process of writing gamebooks, click here.

Warhammer Week: Mission Games Workshop - The Plaza

On Saturday, on my way to the Small Press Expo at Forbidden Planet, I popped into the Games Workshop store on Oxford Street. Saturday was a big day for fans of Warhammer 40,000 as 6th Edition was launched that day.

I managed to have a quick look through the book, which is massive, full of fantastic artwork, and about two-thirds background.

But the highlight for me was meeting store manager Allan Maxwell and his team. As well as chatting about 6th Edition we inevitably got onto the subject of my next big release - Herald of Oblivion. Turns out the guys are (almost) as excited about the release of my first Path to Victory book as I am.

Did you know...?
The Plaza store sells the most Black Library books of any Games Workshop store, anywhere in the world? (Perhaps I should try to arrange a signing there some time.)

This week on the blog I'm going to be taking a break from the usual daily themes. Instead I'll be dedicating the whole week to my new Warhammer 40,000 release - Herald of Oblivion.

It's been a while since I've had a new book published by the Black Library (as opposed to short stories or reprints of old novels) and so I feel it's something worth celebrating.

So keep any eye on the blog this week from some sneak previews and teaser trailers to help get you in the mood for Friday's big release.
