On 29 November 1922, the tomb of Tutankhamun was officially opened by Howard Carter. The first official announcement and press conference followed the next day.Legend had it that any person who disturbed the mummy of an Ancient Egyptian pharaoh would suffer a terrible curse. And the Curse of Tutankhamun was alleged to be more terrible than most. Only, in reality, there was no curse.
